We're back!
Hi guys!! We made it back! We left Sunday night 2/19 and arrived back Tuesday morning 2/21. We traveled thru bus from Dallas to Monterrey. We were so undecided and scared. We finally made up our minds like 2 hours before the bus was scheduled to leave. Everything went so smooth and the officers were nice to us. They took about 10 minutes to take my husbands fingerprints, picture, and stamp his paperwork. They made copies of everything and also asked if my husband had an identification with his address on there. So he gave them his drivers license. All the questions asked were, What part of Mexico he went to and why, where he was living, and where he worked at. Im not going to lie though, I did see other officers questioning a young man that was before us in line, and they were bombing him with questions to the point where he got real nervous and we did too just by watching how they were treating him because it wasn't only all the questions but they were also rude to him. Thank God we got called over by a female officer and she was the total opposite from the other officers. I think its not only about if trump signs any more executive actions, but also who inspects you at the border. They can be in a bad mood or be racist... and that can affect your experience and future too. We took the risk and we are back home and we are so thankful to God that he took care of us and that everything worked out. There will be negative people out there sometimes even family and friends, I think they care and don't want nothing to happen to us so they advice us not to go but they don't understand because they are not in our shoes. Some of my family was even upset with me for supporting my husband. Its done and over and I don't regret it one bit! But just have faith in God and trust him! I thank him for bringing us back home safe and I am so grateful I found this forum that also gave us the courage to go. God bless you all!
