I have just spoke to IO now on phone directly regarding my delay on the EAD card and report about the rumors going all the nation about the ICE arrest for deportations.. Here is what she said to me to avoid such embarrassment. Get to your bank to ask for tax number with that you can work legally or wait until you receive your work permit and apply for social security number.. What a nice and helpful officer.. I hope this help a lot of people and start working before your EAD arrives.. Please be prayerful for the undocumented family and friends in fear now..
