Houston I-765, I-130, I-485
I came here often before and after our interview and found it to be a great source of information. Now that our journey has a happy ending, I would like to share our timeline.

Background information: My husband and I have been married for 10 years and have a 7 year old daughter. I am a U.S. citizen and so is our daughter. My husband did have a criminal conviction in 2002 for burglary of a motor vehicle. Class B Misdemeanor in the state of TX. (He was the driver of his car when his friend did this...he had no idea his friend was going to do this...but he pleaded guilty because he was young and scared and was told that he could go home if he pleaded guilty.)

My husband was on a TPS and requested an I-131 Advanced Parole Travel Document by the suggestion of our lawyer.
7/13/15-Received I-131
9/30/15-In review
10/14/15 Approved
Husband left for Honduras 10/24/15 for just 3 days.

We then began our AOS process.

2/4/16-USCIS received our I-765, I-130, and I-485
2/12/16-Notice for Biometrics
2/29/16-Biometrics Appointment
3/8/16-Inital Evidence Requested
3/29/16-RFE received
4/15/16-EAD Approved/Ordered
4/19/16-EAD mailed
4/21/16-EAD delivered
10/8/16-Lawyer inquired about longer than normal processing
11/8/16-Letter stating that our file is still awaiting review
1/9/17-Intial Interview Scheduled Notice
2/16/17-Interview held in Houston-we were NOT approved on the spot. IO gave us a letter stating that "your case is being held for review"
2/24/17-New card has been ordered!

I highly suggest for anyone going through this to hire a lawyer. Thankfully we are well off and were able to hire a great one in Houston who helped through everything. We were absolutely scared about his previous petty offense and that being an issue for the I-485, especially with what is going on now...

Be patient as it is a long process and I wish everyone here luck. God Bless You all!
