EAD lost by USPS - Filed for Replacement - Extra Remittance?
Hi All,
So I posted here some time ago telling the story of USCIS / USPS losing my EAD card and me never getting it. I filed for replacement on Feb 1st. I haven't received a receipt notice or anything. Today I received I-797C - Rejection Notice. It says "Recently you submitted an application for immigration benefits. That form was submitted with an extra remittance that is not required to process your application.... No additional action by you is required at this time"
Is this USCIS saying I don't have to pay because I have a pending I-485?
Does this mean they're still reviewing my application for EAD replacement?
Is is normal that I never received a receipt notice with receipt number for the new I-765?
