can i really travel before the interview and getting the greencard?
Hello all,

i applied for greencard (i-485) on june 2016 and waiting fot the interview , it's already 9 months and nothing, i saw that in the new jersey field office (my office) they handling cases from february 2016. when i applied i had no status but few months ago i got the SSN and travel documents but i heard that even with these documents i might not be able to get in until i get the green card (adjustments of status).

my lawyer told me that i can travel because few years ago someone sued the immigration for not letting him im even though he got the same documents i got, that guy won and since then there are no problems, but from some reason i find it hard to believe that it's true in any case for everyone.

does someone knows something about it? i have a flight on mid april but i am afraid to take it since i am so close to the interview which is obviously not going to take place before that date.

need your help, thanks
