Green card was mailed!
I want you to share my experience since this forum helped me so much.
I married my husband (USC) March 3rd of last year and didn't start our case until August. My priority Date is October 24th. I received my EAD at the end of January and my interview was scheduled around the same time for March 9th.
We gather all of our Original documents, made some copies, we only had our bank statements and tax return as proof of marriage because we aren't getting our own place until June. We also gathered A LOT of pictures throughout our relationship. Fast forward to March 9th (our interview day) and I was very anxious because we didn't have much to prove our marriage and on top of that our attorney never showed up (I want to say we were more on top of our case than she was and that she was a waste of money) but my husband kept me calm by reminding me that our relationship is honest and that'll show. We're also very young. We waited almost 2 hours to be called, during the interview the IO sworned us in, and asked if we wanted to continue without our attourney which we agreed to, since we knew what we were doing. He asked me some questions about my visa, if I've commited any crimes etc. He asked us how long we've known each other, why we took so long to start dating (we've known each other for 7 years since freshmen year of High School but didn't start dating until our senior year) and asked for any proof of marriage, our passports, our original birth certificates and marriage certificate. He was very quiet and just writing things down, and after 10 minutes we asked if he wanted to go through the pictures as I was kind of concerned at his quietness but he said he didn't need to see any pictures as our case was very simple and I was approved right on the spot! He explained me that I'll have to apply for a permanent green card since we've been married one year only, and thanked us for coming. Later on that day I received my notice saying that my case had been approved and today I received a notice saying that my card has been mailed! Sorry for the long post, just wanted to calm some of you about this as I've been very anxious since I started this but as long as you're doing everything right, there's nothing to worry about!
Oh! Also, my case went to Lee's Summit but I'm from NJ so I had my interview at Mount Laurel, NJ.
Feel free to ask me any questions!
