I've heard that if someone already holds dual citizenship when they apply for Naturalization, they are asked to "give up" one of their citizenships because the U.S. only recognizes two nationalities at a time. I am a citizen of two countries and am in the process of becoming a U.S. citizen. Does anyone know the answer to this or have any experience with this situation? thank you!
