Need an urgent advice please
Dear good people,
A friend refereed me to this forum as a place where I could get authentic information regarding US immigration based on people's true life experiences and haven gone through several comments am really glad am here now.
I do need advice regarding an issue that's been bothering me for months now.
I was married to my wife a US citizen and filed for adjustment of status and others including EAD. I got the EAD and started working.
However before my interview I and my wife had a series misunderstanding that we couldn't hold up and were divorced.
When I consulted a lawyer on what to do regarding my application, he adviced that we should withdraw the application since we are divorced that the application was based on my marriage to a US citizen and more over i wI'll be denied even if i dont woth draw since we arecommend already devorced. This is about 12 months ago.
Now am happily married to another woman who truly love's and we are looking forward to send in another application but my fear is that I don't know what to expect since I have filed before and withdrew the application.
I don't know how long the new application will last from start to finish and I don't know what to expect. Am kind of worried. Secondly what's the nest way to begin. Do I need to write a letter including the reason why we were divorced?
Has anyone been in this situation before or even if you have not but have an idea, please your advice will be appreciated.
