Good Evening Everyone!
I had been a silent reader for over a year and just recently I had been posting and replying to some of the posts here on this forum. It has been super helpful and supportive So I wanted to return the favor by letting you all know my timeline. Today I received my so long hoped-for green card!! Yay! I am super excited and thankful to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ! Without him none of this would have been possible. I am forever grateful. I am a daca recipient and applied for advance parole in 2015 on Nov 24, 2015 I left the country to spend a wonderful week in Mexico with my grandma who was sick at the time and I had not seen in years. I came back on Nov 29,2015. I had to cure an illegal entry to be able to adjust status.

March 8, 2016 Case Is ready to be scheduled for Interview.
March 12,2016 EAD/ Advanced parole received
I had been waiting for the rest of the year for my interview to be scheduled. Finally on Jan 11,2017 I received a letter that my interview had be scheduled for Feb 15,2017 but shortly after I received a letter for cancellation of interview. I was on the waiting game again. Until Finally on March 3, 2017 my lawyer forwarded me a new interview letter for the March 20th at the Houston office at 12:00 pm. On March 20th my husband, I and our lawyer showed up for the interview. We arrived at 11:30 am. We dressed formal my lawyer said it helps. We had our personalized wedding album, our wedding guest list with tons of congrats wishes and signatures from all our friends and family. I had a scrapbook and a stack of more pictures. We had our joint bank accounts, auto insurances, health insurance, joint credit cards, joint taxes for the last 3 years. And we had just bought our first home In January. We had all the documents for our house. We waited for an hr and a half until we got called in. We were in there about 10 mins. She first asked for our driver’s license, passports, my new medical (which I had) and our most recent taxes. She then asked my husband questions about me and then to me question about him, She also asked me yes/no questions and then asked us why we took so long to file, She was a very friendly IO and when my husband told her we were busy enjoying our marriage and she was on daca until we tried to travel and she couldn’t leave the country that’s when we decided to file. She smiled and looked at us and said well yall have all the documents and I don’t need anything else from you. She then looked at me and said I will approve you and you should be getting a 10 year green card in 2-3 weeks. I was so happy and could help but thank the Lord! We went home super excited and I couldn’t wait to receive my card. The next day I received an online update that my card was being produced. On March 23 it said we approved your I-485. On March 25 my Card has been mailed! Today I received my 10 year green card! I am super happy this wait is finally over!
I want to wish everybody else good luck and the best on this process! I will be sending prayers to everybody and May the Lord be with you for nothing is impossible with him!
