Arrived 30 mins before appt, went through security check which took 20 mins. Sat in waiting room from 9:50 and got called in 10:15. Before we sat down the officer made us swear to tell the truth. Asked if we had any other form of evidence we would like to submit which I gave him our joint tax return, car insurance, cell phone bill, photo album with wedding pictures & with friends, and a letter from my mom stating we are living with her & paying rent.
Officer looked through whole album stating it's good we had pictures together at events with friends. Said at the end of appointment we can pick the pictures we want to save in our file for them.
He then proceeded to ask me questions (the US citizen):
-My full name, date of birth, my address, my husbands full name and date of birth, where I work & what I do for my job, how I met my husband, when we decided to make it official, when he proposed, date of our marriage and where we got married. That was it for me.
- questions to husband: his full name, DOB, name of his parents, where he was born, what Visas he has entered the US on, what airport he landed in, what he does for a job, if he has had more than 1 passport in his life.
Asked all of the yes/no questions. And that was it!
Officer was super chill and even cracked some jokes which made it more relaxing.
Only thing is my husband only had a copy of his birth certificate and not the original and asked why he didn't have it. His medical exam didn't state he was tested for ghonnorea but wasn't told to take a new test.
Officer stated he will review our files and if he needs any more documents from us he will mail us a request. It's finally over with!!
