Hello folks, i received a call from a number 646-822-*** saying he is calling from USCIS and was calling in response to a service request I made about 2 weeks ago. This number is from Newyork and looks like a private number. I immediately became concerned about the number and gave the person an excuse that I am in a place with limited network and he should call me back later. I just suspected scam and gave that excuse to get off the phone.
This begs the following questions, has any one ever received a call from a Newyork number purportedly from USCIS? Does USCIS work on Saturdays? The guy is due to call again in a few hours and responses i receive here might determine whether i answer or not.
