approved after interview, no update - Houston office
Hi All,
I had my interview on 28th of Mar at Houston field office. IO was pleasant and asked that I bring another I864 form for my son's file (I only sent a copy which was included on my file), by 9am the next day. Status updated to "interview was completed and my case must be reviewed" shortly after leaving her office.
By 9am on 29th as requested, another copy was given to her and she told me I was approved and it will be updated by the afternoon as they were busy with naturalization ceremony that morning. She also explained about removing conditions on the green card by the second year. By 5pm, another officer called me to clarify about my second son who is a US citizen. Since then, no update.
The status did not change from case must be reviewed. I am worried about this and thinking of calling the officer back since I have the number she used in calling me and I remember her name. My IO told me I was approved but update will be in the afternoon of the 29th.
Does anyone have a similar experience and can I call the other officer back? Your response will be highly appreciated.
