My interview experience was pretty cool; it didn’t felt like an interview but more of a chat about his personal life and ours. So we were scheduled for a 8:15am appointment we got there about 7:50 security check point was a little backed up unlike when I went to do my biometric, it took us about 10 minutes to get through, most of the people there was going for biometric though. We checked in by giving the receptionist the interview notice and was told to sit and listen for our names to be called, there was just one other couple waiting with us, at about 8:10 my name was called by a white male mid 40s, he show us to his office and told us where to stand, he swore us in then he told us to sit. He immediately commend us on how organize our file was and said he wish everyone file was this organize, we didn’t use a lawyer but the files we sent was well put together with tabs, cover letter, paper clips etc. and our evidence folders was even more organize. He then took my picture and scans my fingerprint after that he started going through the I-130 and confirming the information with my wife the US citizen, he then did the same for the I-485 with me and asked if I have a social security number now, I gave him that information. He then asked how we meet my wife started telling him then I finished we ended up telling him about our first date. He then started talking about his wife and shopping, he was in the military and so was my wife so they went on about that for awhile they then went into his wife and shoes lol, the interview took a turn into a friendly chat about his life and our life, a mean the guy and my wife talked about the military the entire time, he even tell her to how to apply for a job as a immigration officer and how to do her resume, gave her some information to use with her military background at one point they were talking so long that he said I have to hurry and wrap up because the next person is here but that didn’t stop him he continued lol. Eventually he asked me the yes/no questions we all laughed at the questions, my wife was doing the most laughing so he asked if she didn’t read the question before, she said yes but does anyone ever answer yes to any of those questions he then had a laugh. After that he said you are approved and you will get your green card within the next 3 weeks, he then told us about the conditional green card and what to do when it expires meaning which form to file to remove the conditions. I then asked if they needed any other evidence he said they have enough evidence but I still gave him a copy of me and my wife social since my wife name is update on her new social. We then shake hands and he led us out and that was all, it lasted between 45mins – 1hr because my wife and the IO kept going about the military.

My advice to you all is to be organize, trust me you won’t regret it and don’t be scared of the interview its nothing to be scared of, my wife the US Citizen was terrified initially but the way they were going at it you couldn’t even tell its like she was talking to one of her friends.

Thanks to everyone who shared there thoughts, knowledge and experience with this forum it has help me and a lot like me. Good luck and all the best to each and everyone.
