Adjustment of Status - I-485

I guess I should not be worried, but its hard! It's been over 100 days (PD 12/22/2016) since we filed our papers. He is the applicant and I am his petitioner. Its really hard watching someone you love so desperate to work and provide for his family, but legally can't. We raised an SR on March 8 and never received a response from that. We called our Congressman on March 24th, signed the release and they reached out the same day. Lo and behold, his status changed from not assigned to officer to case has been completed. We STILL never receoved a response from that. Yesterday, we raised a 2nd SR in response to the 1st one. We were advised then that someone would call us within 5 days. In a matter of minutes, his status updated to "assigned to officer and then completed." No contact, no nothing. We called and spoke to the nicest USCIS rep, who was able to tell use that the 1st SR was emailed (which we never received) and the 2nd SR was mailed out. She stated the first SR shows file is under review, and I have no idea what that means. She advised for me to call back tomorrow to speak with a level 2 officer about our case.

It just kills me that my husband wants to provide for us so badly that he can't. We are expecting a baby in June and I know this is eating him up. We are a prayerful family and I've advised to leave it in the good Lord's hands. Hopefully we will hear something soon.
