Timeline & Follow-Up Questions...
Hi All,

Since this forum has been so helpful to read, I wanted to share my own experience and timeline so far.

Background: Canadian citizen living in U.S. – on L1 Visa, married to USC.

We are currently living in different states and flying back and forth bi-weekly to be with each other.

Timeline of GC events:

Feb 6th: Mailed in applications for I-485 / I-130 / I-131 / I-765
Feb 21st: Received text message confirmations
Feb 27th: Received notices in mail (PD - Feb 13th)
Mar 20th: Biometrics done
Apr 7th: Online status changed to “Ready to Schedule Interview

I have follow-up questions hoping others can help with:

1) My L1 Visa is currently tied to my employer. Once I receive my EAD, can I leave and apply for employment elsewhere? (i.e. to live with my wife in her state) - and of course file the appropriate address changes with USCIS. Once I quit my place of employment, my L1 is no longer valid, and I will need my advance parole documentation to enter/leave the country. Does anyone foresee any issues with this approach?

2) We answered two questions on I-30 questions incorrectly I think:

# 21. If filing for your spouse, give last address at which you lived together?

We wrote N/A. Since we have not lived together yet, I entered N/A – but after reading some other forums online, it appears I should have entered “None”.

#22. Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status. Your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in:

We wrote COLUMBUS, OH.

I'm currently in Newark, NJ - but want to move to Columbus, OH after I receive EAD. In the event I dont move - and my interview happens in Newark, NJ - is this a cause for concern?

Should I inform USCIS of these mistakes during my interview? or notify them before hand?

Thank You in advance!
