Approved Advance Parole, Travel with juvenile misdemeanor?
Hi Everyone,
I am usually not the type to do this, write or display my personal information but because i am in a desperate situation i need help and advice. So if anyone can help, i'd really appreciate it.
I applied for AP in December and was approved mid March. Expires mid September. Also i am a current DACA recipient , which expires May 2018.
As a minor i was arrested, in juvenile for a month because courts didnt know what to do with me, I am not sure if i was convicted or not. I was released and placed on probation for a month and paid a $100 fine.
This was not an issue when i first applied for daca or when it was renewed.
My questions/concerns are that if i decide to travel on AP for a family emergency. Would that juvenile misdemeanor be an issue when trying to return ?
I have already contacted 2 lawyers, one who tells me to travel with AP is the best way, and the other one who says AP is not guaranteed (which i already know) and suggest that i apply for a waiver through my us citizen husband.
Both lawyers tell me the juvenile misdemeanor is not an issue to immigration, they do not consider it as being an adult conviction.
If i do travel i plan to drive out through San Diego with my husband and my sister, both who are citizens. But my concern is just not being able to return due to my juvenile misdemeanor.
If anyone has any suggestions i would love to hear back. I am desperate!!!! Thank you everyone ! ?
