i 485 Approved/ Houston March 2016
Good evening,
I would like to share my experience from my interview this afternoon. We have been waiting for about 13 months and everything doesn't too smoothly at some point but here we are.
-PD: March 24 2016
Both of my biometric letter and interview letter are under my husband name and it freaks me in this whole process.
- Interview appointment: 12pm / April 20th 2017
- We arrived 1 hour early so I can calm myself down. Checked in at 11:45 am. I'm very surprised how welcoming the officer and receptionist are.
- They called our name at 12:20 I believe.
- We sat down and she asked us what we have for her. Make sure you guys make a copy of everythingbyou wanted to turn in. We gave her our deed, bills, insurance, photos while she randomly asked her questions.
- How do we meet? Where? When is our first date? What did we do?
- Who propose to who? When my husband talk to my mom about us getting marry?
- Our anniversary/ Where was our wedding?
- Am I still in school? My major.
If you are currently still under F1 visa bring your transcripts/ I didn't brought mine. But I have my i-20 and tax from school. I was so nervous because I didn't think they will ask for my transcripts. Just something that show you are still currently enrolling in school.
- The officer actually asks many questions. So be prepared.
then she goes through Yes/ no questions, our parents name, his name/ dob/ same thing with me.

Finally, she told us that we have proven to her that our marriage is real and we recieved the approval letter on spot.
I almost cried!

she walked us out and by the time I get my phone out of my purse, I recieved card has being produced and case was approve.

Man, good luck guys!
