Now that we are reaching the end of our journey we just wanted to share our timeline for those of you that are either in the beginnings or in the midst of your journey. Good luck!
Philadelphia
Same-sex marriage (Dated ~ 1 year and then got married 10/30/16, no wedding, no family memebers know of our marital status)
No lawyer, filed everything myself using the instructions
11/14/17 PD --> I-485/I-30/I-31/I-765
11/29/17 --> Fingerprint fee received
12/14/17 --> Biometric done (successful walk-in)
12/13/16 --> RFE for I-864 (needed a sponsor)
Mailed back in 01/11/17
01/17/17 --> RFE received
01/25/17 --> Request for EAD expedite
02/10/17 --> Expedite request approved, Card produced
03/16/17 --> Interview Scheduled
04/19/17 --> Interview @0840
Interview didn't last longer than 10minutes - very casual conversation. Didn't ask for much, gave him our ID's, new lease, joint credit card, current year's tax filing (jointly), many different vacation trips, but what really sold him were pictures - my wife had scrapbooked a bunch of our pictures with her family and mine.
04/20/16 --> Case approved, Card being produced
Tip: Don't stress, if your relationship and love for one another are genuine they will see it regardless of what documents you do and don't have. The last thing you want is your stress/nerves to make you seem like you have something to hide.
