HELP!!!!
hey there... please someone help me and enlighten me with what I can do now. I filed my AOS last January using a lawyer. I didn't have any documentation whatsoever, not even SSN, before I got married except an expired visa (I'm overstayed). So I filed the form using my old name thinking that I can change my name later once I got my SSN. So I got my EAD in hand and went to SS office to legally change my name. I emailed my lawyer, who is not that helpful in terms of things like this and just assumed we know all the laws, about it and she said I just made things complicated right now and that she doesn't work on Mondays so she will call me tomorrow to go over the options I have now. what should I do now??? Should I go to the office again tomorrow and cancel my name change? is that even possible? please help :(
