Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hello.

Im in a difficult position here i got my final notice for initial evidence. My first RFE was for my sponzor and so i send all his tax income and everything. My second initial evidence was i-864 form from my petitioner(spouse) that i forgot to send and also in that initial evidence they were asking for tax forms and i send them. Now i got my last final notice saying: The petitioner/sponsor on form i-864, Affidavit of support must submit a complete federal income tax return submited to the internal revenue service for the most recent tax year. Please provide federal income tax return USCIS only received state tax return.

Now im little confused why would they ask for income tax return when my spouse is not my sponzor in thise case ? Anyone was in this situation ?
