Queens, NY Green Card Approved today!!
I just want to pay it forward by sharing my experience since this forum was such a help to me!

Here's my timeline:

May 13, 2016 - Case accepted
June 2016 - Biometrics done
August 2016 - EAD received
April 2017 - Interview notice received for May 22

We waited around 90 minutes to be called in. Once we were sworn in the officer asked my husband a bit about how he came into the US, details about his work and a series of questions confirming he has no criminal history.

The rest of the interview was very natural and conversational. We presented all our joint documents and the updated medical. We talked about how we met, what we liked about each other, how he proposed and what our best and worst habits are. We laughed and shared some stories.

I then mentioned that my husband and I are heading to Europe next week. I had printed out our boarding passes and included that in our evidence. The officer mentioned that might be a problem because she intends to approve us but we won't get the physical green card in time for our trip. So she ended up stamping and sealing my husband's passport with a temporary green card on the spot. We are so happy to have this process done after over a year!

If you have questions I'll do my best to help!
