BOSTON INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE/Case Approved
Approved 10 years guys cant believe it
I was so stressed the day before, I went after work to volunteer and volunteered to help and share food to homeless folks in downtown Boston at Park Street Paulist Center Church
Interview is at 10:45 AM at the JFK building in Boston close to Government Center.
Woke up around 7, it was raining so we decided to drive instead. Bad choice cause no meters open, we had to park at the TD Garden garage paid $40 for that
Got in the building at 10:30 AM I thought we were late. There was a crowd in there , we sat in with some couples. 3 of them.
They called one of them and have one person wait the other went in for like 45 min and the other partner went in too. Same thing for the second and third couple
I started stressing but I knew Boston does that but still stressed.
At 1:45 a lady walked up to in the middle of the room and was having trouble reading the paper she was holding.
She shook her head and read our address and we started laughing, I knew it was us because my name is complicated to pronounce, she was like she is so sorry but that was the best she could have done
She introduced herself as Agent Lee and walked both of us to her office. My wife looked at me surprised while walking in, because we thought one of us will go first.
We walked in, swear on oath.
First thing she asked was my wife naturalization documents. She couldn’t find it in the stack of documents I sent them. Then asked our passports and any state ID and my OPTs with my SSN, made copies
She was like she is so sorry we waited for 3 hours and think we might be hungry and herself she is hungry too.
She said she went through the stuff I sent and it was more than enough and she will ask few questions
1. How did we meet
2. Where did you meet
3. When did you get married?
4. Where did you get married?
5. What is my SSN number
6. When did you enter the US
7. When did we move in the new apartment?
8. She turned to my wife, and asked my father and mum’s name (that is it, all she asked my wife)
Next she asked if we have more evidence, I gave her the hospital bills she did not take them because they were either under my name or my wife’s so I gave her the photo albums. she was like she love pictures.
She went through the wedding asking the name of the guests. And said OMG I freaking love your dress and immediately apologized for cursing.
Then she was like where is the cake, I love cakes she was like I love it. She grabbed few pictures and look at the other album as well and grab few pictures
Next she said let s wrap this up and said do you want to see how fast I can talk I was like yes, she was like are you ready I smiled and said yes.
She started reciting the YES/NO questions off her mind and God she can talk fast. I was like No No No No for all, my wife laughed so hard when she asked if I killed before so she paused. And continued.
Next she said she has more than enough and said she will not approve me on the spot and need to review the case and wait 3-6 weeks for the answer.
I was so sad, It went so well I did not understand so she noticed I was sad and asked me what’s wrong, I said nothing and she was like don’t worry there is 99% chance you will get approved then I smiled and she said you will get 10 years too.
She was like interview over and walked us out.
I looked at the time and guys we spent 30min in there. Time was so slow in there and the agent made it so simple for use.
Got to my car, drove home, about to have lunch and email from USCIS. I read it and guess what, Card sent to production.
I was so happy I wanted to scream, I just hugged my wife and went straight to bed, thanked God and took a nap. Woke up and I saw i485 approved.
I was like you all late to the party.
Thanks everyone here. Please keep sharing as it helped me shape my case. I couldn’t afford a lawyer and you all helped. I learned so much from you all.
I will be around this step of my life comes to an end, I will answer questions as I can.
God bless you all, good luck and sorry for the long message, hopefully it helps anyone else.
