Adjustment of Status - I-485

The waiting time in Houston is so frustrating, It's not a joke brothers. I looked myself in the mirror yesterday I started to have grey hair and I think I am going to some depression. I miss so bad my parents back home but I can't leave the country because my case is pending. It's been over a year. I went for the interview already and no update. I just don't understand why we are treated this way when we show the proof that the marriage is real. We try to do the right way but we are still put on hold. Sometimes they make us feel like we are prisoner. Can't go back home visit parents until they feel like we deserve. It is just so bad to be waiting for adjustments of status when you do everything the right way. It's even more frustrating when I read people from California only 3 months in the row getting their status adjusted. It doesn't make sense to be put in background check after the interview when they had 1 year to do so. The waiting time to get the interview in houston is minimum one year. So why they don't do background during this period? Only after the interview? IF YOU ADJUSTING YOUR STATUS FROM HOUSTON AND YOU ARE NEW ON THE PROCESS. BE PREPARED AND BE STRONG. IT IS JUST GOD. I AM A BIG MAN, 6.4 feet tall. And I have to admit that sometimes This makes me cry.
