Hello everyone, I've been reading this page since I started all this change of status process. I was in this country with a J1 visa, I regretfully overstayed my visa before sending my change of status application (marriage based, US Citizen). And now I want to go and visit family and I am just to afraid. I have an advance parole, it came with my EAD and I haven't have the courage to use it. I read that if you do not have any criminal record you're fine but I would like to know if someone that have overstayed his/her visa and then obtain an advance parole have already used it, how was his/her experience, what do you recommend?
