Hello everyone, Im reader of this forum for long time, helped me to avoid expensive lawyers and prepare everything by me and my wife alone.
Here is my experience:
May 2016 - We filled AOS
Jun 2016 - Fingerprint was done
September 2016 - EAD was delivered to our home
September 2016 - Ready to schedule for interview
September 2016 - We moved to another apt, after we moved, filled application for changing address online, and 7 days later we got confirmation latter that address was changed successfully.
May 4th 2017 - Interview was scheduled for June 7th. But the notice for the interview never arrived in the mail to our home. And after 7-10 days I kind figure that they probably never update our new address. So I give them a call, and they say I can request notice to be send via Fax, but the earliest they can fax me is 5 days before interview. So we wait and give them a call 5 days before interview. They transfer me to officer on 2nd level, she was able to pull my case online. And she said the she see the correct address on the case file and that she dont know why they send it on old address , anyway we provide fax number and finally got notice in hands 5 days before interview.
Jun 7th - The D day (interview), scheduled at 8am, we got there around 7:35am. Finally called in around 8:45am. IO was lady in early 30, I'll say new IO, probably start working recently. Very pleasant and polite. Interview was about 20-25 min, first Y/N question, and then ask us some basic questions, where and when did we meet, she said tell me a story, so we did, where we work, why did I stayed in Us, how long my wife live in US, went thru our pict, and ask us to give her 5-6 witch we like. Also ask us about our proves what we have. So we start listing and giving her... Health insurance, car insurance for this and previous year, life insurance, some of bank statements, lease for present apt and previous apt, and than she said thats enough.
But my medical was expired, need two more tests to be done, some new rule I guess.
And I was asked If i can provide her new medical by Friday (interview was Wednesday) I sad sure no problem. She just told me to come in ask for her name, she will not give appointment or etc, just come in. So I did, went same day, got new medical and the next day (Thursday) I went and give her in person new medical. Asked her if she need anything else form us, she responded no, thats all she needs and that we will get decision in mail.
Today is 6 days after the interview, still no updates. Will update as soon as I find out something.
