My Journey is finally over
Hello Everybody:

Just want to share my interview experience.

PD 10/21/2016
Bio 11/25/2016
EAD 01/31/2017

Received my interview notice on 05/15/2017, Interview was on 06/14/17 at Fresno CA. 10:45am
Marriage Base.
I am the beneficiary and my husband is the petitioner.

We arrived around 10:30. We brought a friend with us to translate for my husband. The IO looks like an Asian/Filipino to me. She ask us for stand up and swear in. she then ask for our id. after that she ask my husband and the translator to step out and fill out a form. The whole interview was all about me.

She ask for my full name, date of birth, current address.

She ask for my passport, so i show her my old passport with the F-1 visa and the new passport with the I-94 ( I entered the country when they are still using the paper I-94). she took my I-94 and staple it to her folder. ( which is a good sign, i guess).

She ask me for prove, so i show her my life insurance with my husband as the beneficiary. photos of us ( selfies and with family members) She commend about we having a big family and i told her, they are all living in Fresno or nearby cities. She ask me about the people in the photos. what are the relationship. I also show her phone bills and bank statement.

She comment about how i brought alot of stuff, that i am well prepared.

She ask when did i first met my husband and i told her 2013. We dated for a couple of years and got married in 2015.

She ask when was the first time i enter the U.S. and how long did i stay. I told her my first entry was 2008 and i stay for a semester. went home for summer vacation and return for Fall Semester.

She ask if we have any kids and i told her No, but we have a niece and nephew that we need to take care.

She ask how many bedrooms in the house, Whose name is in the rental agreement.
She ask me to show her my phone. she was going through my photos in my phone. She ask about the places in the photos. I even told her my favorite restaurant.

She ask me all those YES/NO question in the application forms. I told her i had a traffic ticket for speeding and i went to traffic school for it.

She brings my husband and the translator back in the room. She only ask him 3 questions. What is his name, address, and if he had ever apply for someone else for a green card.

She took a photo of me and fingerprints. That conclude the interview and she told me that she need some time to review the case and the background check is not complete yet. ( I was surprise when she said the background check was not complete yet. i was gonna post a forum here to ask if anybody have the same experience.) She handed me a paper explaining that the case still need some time to review.

We ask if there is an ETA when do we expect a respond and she said she is not sure. We walk out and she said we should go to my favorite restaurant for lunch. ( I think that was a good hint)

We were out of the office around 11:15am.

Around 4pm. I received a message in my email. There is an update my case. The card is in production. I just break down on the spot. The journey is finally over!!!!
