Can someone work with L2 EAD renewal receipt
Hi,
My L2 EAD is expiring on 8/3/2017. I have applied for a renewal (expedited as well) on 6/14. Based on the current trend, it doesn't look like I will receive the renewed EAD before 8/3 and hence I have reached out to my current employer. Both HR and legal team advised that I can work on the L2 EAD renewal receipt for 90 days after expiry and I found a similar statement in the following link as well:

Can someone advise what should I do? Per my knowledge we are not supposed to work without a EAD and I don't want to get into any legal trouble for a few weeks.
Please let me know the latest rules/ updates on this.
