Adjustment of Status - I-485

Good Morning Guys

I wanted to share the good news that my application for adjustment of status has been approved. the whole process took around 10 months. As I posted before I did not receive approval on the spot and I was told for the officer I should get an answer within a month. I felt defeated when the officer told me that, but for my surprise I received a letter on the mail last Monday indicating my approval. as of today my online status has not changed which means nobody should rely on it (just saying) but I am super happy that at least I can hold the approval notice in my hand even though I am still waiting for my green card.
I have a quick question, do you become a permanent resident as soon as you get the approval or until you receive the green card? just curious...
