I-765 EAD
Hello everyone,

I've been a silent observer of this blog for a long time, but now I need some guidance on my next steps.

AOS through marriage to a USC

· Married March 3, 2017, at New York City Marriage Bureau
· Filed paperwork with lawyer
· USCIS received our case April 25, 2017.
· RFE on May 12, 2017 (forgot to send translation of my birth certificate)
· Biometrics done May 26, 2017.
· Received RFE and resumed working on our case on June 7, 2017.

As of today, my I-765 is at 88 days. I created a SR on the 75th day and they told me it is still under their current processing time.
My lawyer told me we can contact the local congressman after the 90-day mark, but I have mixed opinions about that. I've read that for some of you it did work and you got a response, and for some others there was no new update whatsoever.

I really need to work, I'm going crazy. I also have to pay lots of bills with my husband so we need my EAD ASAP.

What should I do next? Should I contact the local congressman?
Your input is very much appreciated.

Thank you all!
