B1/B2 Visa rejected
I am a resident of India. Travelled to UK and Singapore in last 5 years and applied for US B1/B2 to attend business meetings for my company in the US office. I am 28 male, unmarried with 7+ years of work experience and holding graduation degree in Computer science & engineering. Below has been asked during the consulate interview.

Me: Good Morning.
VO : No reply, just checked the passport.
VO : What is the purpose of your Visit ?
Me : – I work for XYZ company in IT department as IT Lead. I am going to the US office for attending the business meetings with my team and Business users.
VO : For how long will you be staying in the US ?
Me: 1 week.
VO : How much do you earn here?
Me : Told
VO : Are you married ?
Me : No
VO : For how long you have been working in this Company ?
Me : 10 months
VO : What is your highest qualifications ?
Me : Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering
VO : * Typed something on his computer* We cannot issue you a Visa in this slot, please try later.
*handed over the passport with 214(b) printed letter*
Me : Thank you

I am not sure what went wrong that leads to the rejection. Can anyone please help what i should keep in mind before re-applying ?
