Newark interview
This is my timeline for the adjustment process. It is really a test of your patience and endurance. But no matter how long and hard the process is, just don't lose hope and stick to the end.
Sorry for the long post :)
PD: 9/6/2016 Newark office
EAD: Received 11/25/2016
Ready for interview: some where around February
Scheduled for interview: 6/8/2017
Interview date: 7/12/2017

Interview experience:
Interview at 9:15
We got there around 8:30 and wait until 10:00 to call in. We have a supervisor watching our interview.
The IO swore us in and started to ask my wife about our parent name, how we met, have my wife met my parents? My date of birth. How many people live in the house? how many bedroom in the house? What is her current address?
Then he switch to me and ask:
What is my wife birthday? He asked me to tell him my current address (same as my wife). Then thing turn up side down when he saw my visa, he started to doubt about my school on my visa (I was F1 visa) because I got a wrong typo in my biography form about the date I attend the school. After that I explained to him about why i have that typo and all about the school question he asked me (he was furious, kept repeating the same question about my school even though I already explained to him why) then he asked for my original birth certificate and proceeds to yes no question.
Then he asked if we have any bona fide evidence ? And we gave him our marriage certificate, car insurance, bank accounts, car title, and our photo album.
He then switch to my wife while openings the album and ask what are the people in our album, the place in the picture and he took around 7-8 picture.
Finally, he said the interview is completed and we will know the result in 1-2 weeks. Then he came out photocopied my I20 and all the necessary paper then gave it back to me at the end. Interview last about 35 minutes.
When we got home, around 3 hours later the online tracker update that I got an RFE (I was so disappointed and frustrated). A weeks later, I received the notice and it is the medical that was expired so they made me redo the medical. I did it right away and sent back to them. And continue to wait until today. The online tracker changed to New card being produced, I was screaming and burst out in tear
finally, some good news came at the end.

So in my case there are 2 things that I want everyone avoid it.
First, the wrong typo in biography form, check it before you signed, double, triple check it and make sure everything is correct before send anything.
Second, if you have your medical expired, or using the old form. Just redo it, save you a little bit of time.

Be truthful, honest when interviewd even though sometime the IO seem doubtful about your marrige. Just explained to IO in a nice way and truthfully and that was it.

I was so blessed that I found this forum because all the information on this forum help me A LOT!
Now I have to wait again but at least this wait is bearable. I'll update when I received my card.
Thank you
