DALLAS FILLER BELOW WAS MY EXPERIENCE
I am giving thanks to Almighty God for this lovely journey
My PD was 10/25/2016. I submitted just the forms I130, 485, 693 and 864. The only supporting document I have as at the time of submission were marriage certificate and our birth certificates (hubby and I) thou I used affidavit as birth certificate because my name on birth certificate is different from my passport. I entered to US on a B1/B2 got married within 70days of entry. I meet him just the same week I came in to US and everything click just like that. I had 2 RFE (December and February) both on Affidavit of support then during my response to the second RFE (February 2017) I was able to submit supporting documents for the first time joint lease, cable bill, pictures (with hubby family during birthday and picnic outing), statement of account (even thou hubby is the one funding the account because as at February I wasn’t working) and 1 affidavit for bona fide of marriage (no rotary seal just signature and phone number). Employment card was mailed March 1 (it was sent to my POBOX even thou i did address change so i was busy waiting for it at my new address 2 weeks after hubby saw it in the POBox mail because we hardly use the Pobox meanwhile my 2 RFE were sent to my house address)
On June 2017 I had my interview I was so scared but hubby was relaxed. We don’t have ring because my hubby doesn’t use even thou we were joined with ring based on the package we paid for in Vegas. (note marriage was just hubby and I).
We have 2 officers (1man and 1 woman), the interview lasted for 15-20mins. The questions asked were as followed
Who proposed --- actually no proposal that was our response (long story I don’t want to go into that but hubby explained very well and she just smiled)
Why don’t you use ring –hubby answered
When have you been living together – I answered
Do hubby communicate with my family since they are not here – yes very close with my sister and mum (we both answered)
The hotel we stayed in VEGAS- believe me we can’t even remember until we got out of the interview (lol) all the receipts were on the name of hubby so we didn’t not bother to take them along even thou we have them.
Do you have insurance together –hubby said No but he just added me to his health insurance so we await his job approval.
Your recent paystub- I only have mine and I gave to them with my 401k and hubby is my beneficiary.
2 other questions were asked I can’t remember the questions. After the interview they asked if we have questions hubby said yes
Why do we have 2 officers here --- she answered (she was the supervisor) the officer is new
How can I apply for job here –she answered go online (lovely woman thou)
Are we okay – the officer said your medical report was not properly filled so we will issue you RFE) I was so sad I feel like crying but I was happy because the interview wasn’t stressful as I thought because I got married less than 90days so I was scare I won’t lie.
2 weeks after interview no update I did SR and 4 days after I received RFE for medical update (the form was not properly filled) . After updating I 693 form I waited for a week no response or update online. My update as at then was still interview notice scheduled. I tried to do another SR but the system said I have to wait 30days. I just said a word to console myself since my marriage is real let me just relax when they are okay with my case they will update. Exactly a month after interview I gave a call to uscis the officer was very nice and polite. He tried to do SR on my behalf but he said he can’t because I have one SR which is not up to 30days that I should hold on for 30days. I said okay so no checking of mail or anything till 30days lol. Behold next day I just saw a text message I went to check status card in production I was so happy today I got approval letter by mail and card mail update online. Despite all the anxiety and stress God proof his presence I am happy. So just learn from my case is not about the number of documents you submit is all about God divine intervention. Nursing school here I come lol. Wishing you all the best
