Adjustment of Status - I-485

Here’s my detailed timeline now that the whole process is completed for me. I hope this helps.

Field office: San Francisco, CA
Same-sex marriage
We’re both 22 years old and filed on our own without a lawyer. The process was pretty smooth overall.

11/02/16 Package shipped by UPS overnight (forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765)
11/03/16 Priority Date – Package delivered to Chicago USCIS Lockbox
11/16/16 Email and text notifications of receipt for all forms
11/21/16 I-797C receipts for all forms received in the mail
11/28/16 I-797C appointment notice for biometrics received in the mail
12/08/16 Biometrics taken at local USCIS application support center
02/01/17 I-765 online update: “New Card Is Being Produced”
02/06/17 I-765 online update: “Card Was Mailed To Me”
02/08/17 Received EAD in the mail
07/03/17 I-485 online update: “Interview Scheduled” for Jul. 28
07/28/17 Interview (Approved on the spot)
07/28/17 I-485 Update “New Card Is Being Produced”
08/01/17 I-485 Update “Card Was Mailed To Me”
08/03/17 I-797 Approval Letters received in the mail for both I-485 and I-130
08/04/17 Green Card received in the mail. Couldn't hold back my tears when I saw it.
