Just wanted to share my story with you.
Waiting on EAD card through marriage to a US citizen.
5/15/2017 Case was received
Biometric done (forgot when)
RFI (forgot when)
6/14/2017 RFE was received
I guess here my case was pushed back a month.. My lawyer said it is that USCIS at fault. We have prepared all the documents and the lawyer said that he sent all the documents needed. I was unlucky there.
I have been looking for a job and I found out that congressman helps.
So I went to Congressman's office in Castro Valley in CA.
Released my privacy form. Here, I suggest you go to the office in person. It is faster.
Try signing the form there if possible. They are busy and get back to you late.
8/2/2017 Received an offer letter with start date on 8/16/2017.
8/2/2017 Sent it to Mallory Delauro (takes care of my case).
8/3/2017 She sent it to USCIS
8/7/2017 Received an email from Mallory that my case is being routed for the expedite processing.
8/9/2017 Heard nothing from USCIS yet and my case hasn't even updated.
I am dying here.. I have to start working next Wednesday, 16th. but no words or updates from USCIS.
Called USCIS customer service and escalated the issue but they can't access to the request my congressman raised. I have no power over anything but wait.
IS there anyone who received their EAD card without any updates or status changes?
