Adjustment of Status - I-485

I hope all is well with everyone! I went to my Field office this morning as a walk in- got there security guard said unless it's an emergency I can't walk in I told her I do they mix me and my sister up and I'm here to see if it has been corrected she said that's not a emergency. She helped me made the appt which is in 2 wks I told her give been looking everyday for an appt even coming on the bus this morn. She said the supervisor came this morn and put in appts for today they were all gone. Anyway after getting my appt I asked her if I can see a supervisor i wasn't leaving until i see one,she said wait on the line she don't how long it will be- Thank God he came out in 5mins I explain my issue and thatch was there on 7/18 I wrote to my center and no response so I came today. He check my Docs and my sister's then he told the security guard to let me in to sit and wait for him. He came back about 30mins later and said he saw what they did the brought our files together and why it have the same A#
 He told me he was going to work on it today and he was going to contact all 3 offices for them to send my file over he said he will take a little time. He told me my work permit will be coming soon (5 months pending) he took my # I have all the docs he needs and i asked his name. I'm happy I got the help i needed today he s Caribbean like myself he was so nice.
