I had the interview yesterday in Long Island New York
We had to wait 2,5 hours.
Our officer was an older lady.
This was my interview
Officer:
Where did you meet
Husband:
On Facebook. My wife is a Plussize model in the Netherlands and I admire her. I've reached out to her a couple of times and she did not answer my message until three months later we talked and skyped for hours for months and that's how we met. *My husband gave a short answer to the officer*
Officer:
Yes a lot of people met each other on Facebook. I did not have a Dutch person in a long time.
Because you married only for 2 years I can only give you a conditional green card that's good for 2 years. But I will make the Decision later today.
Officer: if you want apply for citizenship you have to know this book about history about presidents etc. She gave us a speech about the book that you have to study if you apply for citizenship.
Officer: You will here my decision in 3-4 weeks.
And that was it. So she actually just asked us 1 question how we met and that was about it. I did not had to chance to talk at all. I prepared so many papers and pictures that she did not even asked about or need. The only things she wanted from us is more bank statements, joint cards together, medics update and that's all I gave it to her. I felt like I prepared all my papers for nothing lol.
The interview took like less than 30 min. 70% of the time was her speech/education about the history and what's going on now in America. Once were outside 30 min. Later when we were almost home I've received an USCIS email and text saying that there was an status update. * Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production
On August 24, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number ..., and will mail it to the address you gave us. You will receive card/document within 30 days.
So i guess she approved our interview and I'm getting the temporary green card. What do you guys think?
Btw Me and my husband have an age difference of 27 years. I was 21 and he 48 when we met in 2014 now I'm 24 turning 25 in a month and he is 50. We love each other and It wasn't a problem.
