Traveling within USA
Hey everyone, I have a quick question - I am currently waiting for my EAD (same sex marriage) but I would like to travel from NYC to Florida. My question is how safe is to travel by airplane, since I still don't have any US government issued ID (I only have passport from my home country with expired visa, overstayed 2.5 years)?
Is it ok for me to bring all of my receipts (i-485,i-756) and my marriage certificate, just in case?
My lawyer advised me not to travel by plane, but I see many people travel with no problems.
What is your opinion? Thank you!
