Hi everyone,

I just wanted to post my N-400 journey's timeline thus far, as I know all of us have relatively the same amount of anxiety about the whole process so hopefully the more we can all share, the more we can feel settled!

My process has been surprisingly fairly quick! I was expecting long waits especially since it seems like all the offices are super backed up. But, here's my quick background and timeline to date:

- Been a permanent resident since 1998

- Got a misdemeanor DUI in 2013 and received a 3 year probation in 2014

- Hired an immigration attorney (I know I technically don't need one, but I also know that the naturalization process is long and unpredictable, so I wanted to be safer than sorry)

- Sent in application end of May 2017

- Application received 6/6/17

- PD 6/4/17

- Biometrics notice date 6/9/17

- Biometrics appointment date 6/30/17

- Interview notice date 9/1/17 (via email)

I am now just waiting for the letter to come in the mail and I suspect that my interview date would be the end of this month/early October as it seems like there's about a month difference from when you receive your first notification.

Between my biometrics appointment being completed up until now, I just kept getting email notifications saying "your case is still being reviewed and there are no updates at this time". I honestly just stopped worrying about it and figured I would get my interview notification at the end of year.

So hopefully if all goes to plan and I pass my interview, that would make my process roughly 5 months or so (not including oath ceremony).
