Adjustment of Status - I-485

Today we got interviewed finally. We were surprised when the officer told us our file just got there so they have not fully reviewed it yet. They have cancelled a lot of interviews because their files have not been forwarded so therefore it's not yet at the local office. We got some relief and thanked them that at least our interview date was not cancelled and our file is on the officer's desk as he started to chat with us.

The interview went alright. There was another new officer and observing the primary officer. He was pleasant and attentive to how the interview is being conducted. He interjected some questions here and there but nonetheless, both officers were very professional, courteous, and pleasant to talk with. They did not ask anything that we were not able to produce. Everything we can think of we have it in our really big binder. We have been married for two years so we really took the time to gather evidences two years worth.

However the caveat here is of all this file delay saga, he told us at the end that he still has to organize my files and put it on the computer so we have to give him time for that. We still thanked him politely for taking his time to conduct the interview with us, shook each others hands and left.

The atmosphere was positive. We were not grilled in questions or something that would show tension. My medicals were all good with the latest result for Gonorrhea and Syphilis. Every originals we have - we made colored copies and that made the officer's job easier. Officers will appreciate that it's all about organization.

At the end of the day, here I am still waiting and we will not cease praying. We were hoping for an on the spot approval but due to the file delay, I guess another waiting time. We are praying to get a result in a few days. Lord please help us and we are still lifting up to you our GC journey.
