September Interview Experience
Hello all I am new to replying on this site, but I frequently read over the experiences. So I decided to share ours. My husband and I recently went to his I485 interview in New Orleans and we were an hour early waited about hour and half to be seen. Had a lightly pleasant officers bring us back and asked all the normal yes and no questions.. Needed only one record which showed he got his last shot which we provided.. Provided her with a few more photos of our family and letters written by my young daughters. Simply saying how they view our marriage. One part of the interview made of a bit leery, and that was when she asked if he was on the lease, I advised he is not it was already in my name. It is rather complicated where I live as far as housing.. Anyway we did not get a on the spot approval which stung so bad. She said she would review the file and we will receive something in the mail. I asked her if it looked good and she advised that she was not allowed to say either way.. Its only been since Sept 7th. My fear is that I have failed my husband. I completed all the paper work and did not get any rfe and brought all evidence except for a lease. That I sent in and brought to the interview. He is active on my insurance, my 401k, we share a bank account. we live together and have a car that we purchased together went on a couple of trips. We both work a lot he has 2 jobs and I do as well. We married really quick, I knew I loved him when I saw him. Neither of us wanted to wait.. He is my bestfriend, and the life I have had until I was blessed with him lets me know it was all worth it. He is a father to my girls and provider for my family... Based on what I have told you guys do you think i should be worried. We filed Dec 2016 Married Oct 2016 1year tomorrow.
