Requested expedited service / contacted congressman on August 28
August 31 Received email from USCIS stating 'Your case is currently under review'
September 5 - Card is being produced
September 8 - Card Mailed
September 12 - Card received.
One tip I got from my attorney, if you are desperate to start back to work and already have a driving licence and social security card, these are acceotable for the I9 verification so long as you state your EAD approval date (e.g. the date it was sent for production) - this allowed me to start work a week earlier than expected.
