Greencard Verification
Hi all,
I got my greencard through marriage on 7/5/17 and I am now going to school. I applied for FAFSA and was approved for student loans. I submitted all the paperwork they asked for including my GC. Now the school is saying that The Department of Homeland Security cannot verify my greencard. That is scary. Is USCIS not part of the Department of Homeland Security? Does that mean they cannot verify their own document? What happens if I get stopped by a Border Patrol agent or at the airport? I was just wondering if anyone had a similar situation.
