I felt compelled to post after reading through this forum for months. It was honestly such a great and valuable help to prepare myself and my spouse for the interview and I'm truly grateful to everyone for sharing their experiences.
We filed in NYC - October 2016
Fingerprints - November 2016
Work authorization/ Advanced Parole - December 2016
Interview scheduled - August 2016
Interview date - September 2016
Approved same day approximately 8 hours after we left. (so happy right now)
The interviewer was very nice and straight forward, we were not nervous in the slightest. The conversation led from one thing to the next while we presented our supporting documents.
I think the really crucial items to have are: recent tax year return/ lease/ bills/ bank statements/ letter from jobs/ a couple of wedding photos (they only took one out of the many we brought).
Honestly I was so incredibly nervous for months and months and now glad that it all went so well. Thank you all again for sharing. I'm happy to answer any questions anyone may have :)
