Field office - Long island ....lonnnnnnnnng island
We were told that it will take 120 days. now its almost 130 + days. In between we did few service requests but got the same reply like "We are sorry to say that we are not able to tell you the timeline".
So i did Info pass today and it was just a waste of time..
The officer said it is delayed because of background checks and he is also not able to tell you when it will finish. Then i said to officer that I can see people get approved on spot at interview.. then he was like no one gets approval on spot. Then i figured how much they know about the process...no use of wasting more time.
When we came out we called USCIS and talked with a level 2 officer and what he said was totally different. He said case is with field office and background check are done long before. Case is delayed for final decision. Still, even he was not able to tell when it is going too finish......
