Citizenship

Aug 24, 2016 PD. I had my oath ceremony today; along with I believe 802 other people from various nationalities. My family and I arrived at the center at 7.30am, and the ceremony started at 9am. It was short and sweet; lasted only about 25 minutes. Very well organized, and the staff there were very friendly and professional. I also completed and submitted my voter registration form right there. Then they called us by color-code to pick up our certificates and take pics with the judge (if you so choose). Most people chose to take pictures with the judge, so it was a very long line. I was about last in line, so we didn't leave the venue till about 11.30am. Final step, I have my appointment tomorrow at the passport agency to apply for expedited service. Glad the journey is finally over! Good luck to all.
