Case Re-opened?
Hi - I had my interview on Aug 28th. Went really smoothly, and the officer said that she would proceed to process after she performed a final background check. Basically sounded like a slam dunk.

Then I received a letter dated Aug 28th saying the application was approved.

Then I received another notice/letter saying the following - "On August 28, 2017, we reopened your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number YYYY YYYY XX, and are reconsidering our earlier decision. We sent you a notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice."

I have been calling the NBC every few days and every time I get an immi officer they just say to wait a few more days. The finally they raised an inquiry to the NY field office where I had my interview, but that inquiry has a 2 week expected turn around - everything seems to move at a glacial pace.

Does anyone have any experience with this situation, please let me know of timeline etc. as I am worried this could drag out. I think I will try to set up an Info Pass appointment to get further info.

Thanks
