Hey guys,
Thank you so much for your support –– today I received my green card and couldn't be happier!
Story: We got married at the end of April, my husband got his citizenship at the end of May and in the middle of June I applied for my GC. All 2017.
Here is my timeline, I've been so so lucky:
Mailed: June 15, 2017 (i-130, i-485, i-765)
PD: June 19, 2017
Biometrics appnt: July 18, 2017
Interview scheduled: Aug. 24, 2016
Interview: Sept. 26, 2017
Card received: Oct. 2, 2017
Disclaimer: never received my EAD card.
INTERVIEW
Our interview went smoothly. We were called out right on time at 9am. The IO asked standard questions: when we met, when he proposed, whether we were married before, about my school and work, about our parents and why our wedding was small (only us and witnesses, we told it was expensive and we plan to celebrate in our home country).
The officer asked only for our apartment leases (I gave for the three years we've been living together) and joint bank statements (from Oct. 2016 till Sept. 2017).
15 minutes after the interview I received a text message and an email that my card is being produced. Two days later my card was mailed and six days later I received it.
I set up an informed delivery at the USPS website and was able to track my green card: informeddelivery.usps.com
