Urgent I-485 RFE question
Hello Fellow Applicants,

It has been a long and stressful road for me that just won't end.

I have just received an RFE for my I-485, and need the GC asap for a job. The request is for a "long form" birth certificate. I only supplied the short form.

I am now ordering this long-form document from the Canadian government to supply to USCIS. I can only hope it arrives in time.

The problem is that I am adopted, and the parent names on my BC will be different than those on my 485 because I used my adopted parent's names.

What should I do? I think I have three options:

1) supply BC and not mention parent name discrepancy from adoption.
2) supply an adoption order form with my BC and explain in a cover letter (may not get adoption order in time though).
3) supply BC and a cover letter explaining the adoption name discrepancy.

What is the best choice?

Thank you.

Never give up.
