Journey Still Not Over
Well...we had our interview scheduled for yesterday at am (we arrived at 8) but our name wasn't called until 10:20. What an agonizing wait.

When our name was called we were greeted by a young man in a about his early 30's. He couldn't have been more nice and cordial. He fingerprinted my wife and took her picture then he swore in myself, my wife, our attorney and even our 5 year old daughter. She thought that was the coolest thing.

He then went through the file and asked my wife every question on the I-601 waiver application to verify that her answers were correct and that she is now answering them under oath. It was pretty painless. That's all he asked. The rest of the time was spent making small talk.

After that we asked him if he needed to see any of our evidence to prove our marriage is real( we had a huge bag filled with evidence). He said there was no more evidence that we could show him that could prove our marriage to be any more real than he already believed it to be. Wow, that made us feel really good. He also that our chances looked really good for an approval.

At the end he said if this was a straight AOS case you would be approved on the spot but there is one thing he had to verify with his boss prior to giving us an approval. I jokingly said, just pretend I'm the boss and I say that it's approved as/is. He laughed.

At first he said it would take 30-60 days for them to make a decision then I told him that the life of our 5 year old daughter is in his hands and that she we be destroyed if we were ripped apart. He then said that he reserves Friday for research and he'll try to get to it Friday morning.

While our attorney was mainly silent during the interview (mainly because I like to control the environment), his being there gave us a lot of confidence.

Even though it's not approved YET, I feel like the weight of the world is off of our shoulders and we presented the best case before the system that we could and we will just let the chips fall where they may. It's in GOD's hands and he hasn't let us down this far.

Thanks and we'll have more to come later and please feel free to ask any questions about the interview. This forum has done so much for me and I will do whatever I can to assist others as well.
