Interview experience
We had about interview at New Orleans Office on October 11. We were called in 10mins earlier than our interview time by a lady who seemed to be in her 30s.
First she said her fingerprint machine isn’t working, so we will go to other room to just get the fingerprint and picture. After they took my fingerprint and picture, we went to her office. She seemed pretty friendly.
She asked my wife to call out my full name and her current address. She then asked me about her full name. Then basically she asked me was just the application questions: when did I come to USA, from which airport, what date, and just few yes/no questions from application. That’s pretty much all she asked.
Other than that, she asked if we brought anything that would prove our marriage like tax return. We gave her our joint tax return, joint bank account, joint lease, joint business document, credit cards, gave her our album of 200 some pictures. She looked at almost every pictures and was just asking where was this picture taken and were just talking about our journey.
We also were making jokes and she laughed so hard. When we were showing her our travel tickets, some cards that we send each other, motel keys and movie tickets, she said this is more than enough documents and you guys are so organized. So, she didn’t even look at those. We offered her to keep any of our pictures with her if she wanted but she said she got more than enough documents so she didn’t need it.
She then asked us how we met. She asked if we have any kids and we said no. She said you guys look so young and are so cute together. Other than this, we were just talking random things like about teeth and flights.
I asked her at the end, so is this approved and she said yes it’s approved. She said it’s gonna take 1-3 months to receive a green card. Now, we are just waiting for our status to update. Hopefully everything goes well.
Ask me any question you have, I am here to help everyone.
